Tap “Restore Purchases” on the purchase screen. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy. If it still fails, purchases and billing are managed by Apple (we cannot see your transactions), so please contact Apple Support (Billing & Subscriptions).

Hearing out tempo, beats, and chords is genuinely hard — even for AI. Songs with many key changes, fluctuating tempo, or dense arrangements may never analyze perfectly. You can fix anything in the chord chart: tap a cell to change the chord, drag to move where it starts, and use the downbeat selector to fix bar lines — edits are saved and used in your next play. If a song analyzes badly, telling us the song title and artist at support@keyjaan.com really helps us improve the engine.

DRM-protected streaming-only tracks (e.g. Apple Music subscription songs) cannot be analyzed. Use purchased songs or your own audio files (m4a / mp3 / wav). On Mac, cloud songs load after you allow the Music app to download them.

Try these steps in order: 1) check the cable/adapter, 2) check whether another app (e.g. GarageBand) detects the keyboard — if not, the issue is with the device or connection (see your keyboard’s manual), 3) restart the app and the device. If other apps detect it but KeyJaan! does not, we’d appreciate a report with your keyboard model.

By default, your keyboard’s own speakers/sound engine produce your notes while the app plays the song. With a digital piano or a keyboard that has built-in sounds, you get the full “song + your playing” session as is. If you use a sound-less MIDI controller, turn on Settings → Built-in Sound → “Play notes with built-in piano” to hear the app’s built-in piano tone (two voices, adjustable volume). MIDI can also be received by multiple apps at once, so you can run another sound source (e.g. GarageBand) alongside KeyJaan! and play through that.

Microphone input is an experimental feature. It works best in a quiet room, close to the mic. Headphones help avoid speaker bleed.

Everything is stored on your device only — nothing is sent to any server. Note that deleting the app deletes your records.
